Alison: I'm psyched, I think this will be fun! Can't wait to watch the show tonight!

hishi: how did you get chosen to be on the show?

Alison: It goes back to when I was at Penn State...one of my good friends lives in L.A. now and in mid-August he e-mailed me about if I was single and could I get away for two weeks...so I called the number and did a phone interview that you videotaped and sent it out to L.A.

Alison: So I wasn't at a cattle call or audition, actually.

chower: How involved was the process in which FOX chose you for the show?

Alison: Then there was this whole long application with a background check...going through various tests, etc.

TrailerHitch: What did you do during the auditions that made the producers think that you were right for the show?

Alison: I consider myself well-rounded. I'm a physician, an artist, I love to exercise and do different things from cooking to painting. And now I understand that Kaya had an interest in the medical field...

Alison: and as you know, the producers cast us based on what the boyfriends said they liked in an ideal woman.

Alison: I think Kaya really dug the fact that I was a doctor, so that was probably a trigger.

betty: What do you mean interest?

Alison: He used to work as an anesthesiologist...

Alison: when he was in college...and from our conversation, he actually entertained the idea of going into medicine, before he became a big model.

alisonshot: Was the experience on this show everything you thought it would be?

Alison: Yes. When I got involved, I didn't know what a huge production it was because I didn't audition.

Alison: So when I showed up in Belize and saw 150 crew people to film us and found out the scope of it, I was amazed. When I found out about our amazing dates, I was very pleasantly surprised.

coreytime: Do people recognize you in public now?

Alison: No :) Not so far. Only one girl, who was in Target, did. But that was prompted by the fact that I was buying a gossip magazine with Temptation Island on the cover. She said "Hey, you look like one of the girls from the show." That was kind of cute. Everyone at work thinks it's cool. All the radiologists, cardiologists, the guys you'd think would be conservative. They think it's great and are having a good time watching!

joecool: What was your fav. part on the island ??

Alison: My favorite part had to be the final date!

Alison: It was amazing. The place I went to was amazing. I got to do stuff I've never done before...

Alison: as far as the adventure part of it. I got to spend a lot of time with Kaya, over 30 hours total.

KAYA2: im so happy kaya chose you, you are the best woman on the island

Alison: That's very flattering and I'm not good at accepting compliments! I only paid attention to Kaya. I was being myself and when I date I only like one guy at a time. So, I guess that's what won out at the end.

icely:  it sounds that you got to know Kaya pretty well.. what´s going on? heheh are you a couple now???? I know you wont answer that.. but still..

Alison: We could be still in contact...you'll have to keep watching to see what happens in that infamous cave!

Moni: What was your reaction to the Megan triangle (Kaya & Andy)?

Alison: I didn't see any of that until I watched it on TV.

Alison: I didn't witness any affection between the three of them in Belize. I didn't know it was such a huge thing.

Alison: The night before the final date selection, I heard that Megan said she was going to be picked. We would hear rumors and they were usually true.

Alison: I was pleasantly surprised when I got picked.

melissa08: do you feel like you came second best to megan, like kaya left her for andy and so he chose you

Alison: No, not at all.

Alison: I think that maybe it's overblown from what I saw on the island. I don't feel second best at all, and if you keep watching, you'll find out why. Obviously, they didn't pick her for the final date for a reason!

PHUZZ: Do you think that what's been aired thus far is an accurate depiction of what actually happened?

Alison: Well, all I can say is that I was really myself. It was up to each individual to either be themselves or not. Sometimes people may have acted out of character because they were on camera or whatever. As far as I can tell, they only show things that happened, and of course they edit, but it's fairly accurate.

Alison: They edit to make it as interesting as possible.

jnet: do you think it is wrong that these couples chose to test their relationship this way and would you do that if you were in a committed relationship!

Alison: If I were truly in love with my man...I don't think I'd do this show, unless I believed it was all acting--which of course it wasn't. I think these couples probably had significant issues they wanted to test. And the way I thought about it, for the time we were on the island, they were all single. The girls were having the same fun that their boyfriends were having.

WVPLAYER: What was the wildest thing that happened while you were on the island???

Alison: That would be when (this was not on TV at all!), probably when we got Andy to take off his swimsuit in the pool under the false premise that we didn't have ours on.

Alison: Then I threw his suit across the pool and he came up and took my swimsuit bottoms and put them on! That won't be aired. It was pretty wild.

doubledown: so would you have seriously considered hooking up with one of the guys for a real relationship, or was it completely fun and games??

Jessica33: Would you consider a relationship with one of the guys after the show, knowing you were the reason for their breakup?

 Alison: I would've seriously considered hooking up with one of them. I was single and obviously they had issue. Thought  it's TV, if you think about it, guys have girlfriends and it's on the rocks and they go out, meet someone else, fall in love and dump their girlfriends. So, it was possible.

cmm903: Allison, you are a very attractive woman, and your about the same age as me. I would've chosen you in a heartbeat.

Alison: That's very flattering!

Alison: Hey...where do you live and what do you look like :) (just kidding, I'm taken, ha ha)

lazebazer: Alison, I've checked out your homepage and I must say that I was impressed by your self-designed outfits. have you worked with fashion professionally?

Alison: No, I just started sewing in junior high for fun because my mom wouldn't buy certain outfits.

Alison: And now my designs have become everything from dresses to tops made out of CD-ROMs. It's a fun hobby. I made a dress that I wear on the show...the black one I wear tonight.

Alison: Watch out for the black dress!

Murphy: What type of doctor are you?

Alison: I got my M.D. in 1997. I'm in my family practice residency, finishing my training so I can be board certified in family practice. I graduated from University of Pennsylvania.

boopster: how did you get enough time away from work to be on the show?

Alison: On a Monday, I went into my director's office, told him I was going away on Saturday of that week.

Alison: I told him what it was for, he was sort of puzzled, and he said "okay." So, it wasn't too hard. I had some vacation time.

tempted:  Alison, did your family give you a hard time for being on this show?

Alison: Absolutely not. They love the show. I don't think they're so surprised that I did it. Opportunities that come along that are once in a lifetime, I jump on them.

133: how has you life changed since the show

Alison: My life has not changed at all! I still go into work, see my patients. I have no idea if they know I did the show or not. Out of the hundreds I've seen since then, only 3 have mentioned it.

Alison: Everyone at work knows I did it. They're interested in the show, but I'm still the same person I've been for 2 1/2 years...who walks around complaining that I was on call and I'm tired!

Michelle: Were you dating anyone when you went on the show?

Alison: No...I was actually single. That came up in the casting interview. The "interviewer" was, basically, like, "If you're so great that you can be on our show, why are you single?" The answer I gave was that I'm very picky.

stebbs: tell us about posing for Playboy

Alison: I did that when I was in med school in '95. The way it came about was through a classmate. We were studying in the library and he had an ad from the Penn paper, joking that I should do it. So I called. I didn't tell my parents before...but after the shoot, before it was published. They were happy for me, but I think they said, "Don't do it again."

Alison: That generated a few crank calls!

Jimmy: Did the exposure from the show help your career or change your career direction?

Alison: I have known since medical school that I just want to complete enough training to go on to something else. That something else is still nebulous, but I definitely have an interest in the entertainment industry...big shocker, right?!

TEMPTING:  If given the opportunity would you quit your job to pursue a career in entertainment?

Alison: Absolutely.

Alison: I hope they're not logged on at the hospital right now!

Alison: But yeah, I have an unrestricted general medical license, but I know there's more out there for me. I enjoy it, but I have a very creative side that would wither away if I stayed in medicine. However, it's not a bad career to fall back on!

jimmy:  did you and Kaya ever talk about his girlfriend or was it purely about the two of you?

Alison: Kaya talked a little about her, and how one of their big issues was that he met her the same day or so after he ended his previously relationship. He had issues about whether or not she was the right one, or just the first one to come along.

Alison: It was weird. I never brought up Valerie, but he did from time to time. More on the first date than on the last date.

Alison: I've been asked a lot if I worried about her feelings...and no, I didn't. She was having fun on the other side of the island, and was supposedly exploring her feelings on the relationship as well.

Amanda:  What did you like so much about Kaya?

Alison: For starters, I like intelligent men. I'm not sure the show always shows that, but he is a smart guy. He also isn't bad to look at!

 Alison: He's a creative person. Very sensitive and he's fun!

NJ_Fan: Alison, do you keep in touch with any of the couples?

KAYA2:  have you seen or spoke to anyone from the show since it ended?

Alison: I don't know if I can answer that...but I do keep in touch with the singles. A lot of the women spent a lot of time together, so I made some really good friends.

Michelle:  can you give us any hints to the show tonight?

Alison: I believe that you'll see some mud and maybe some sliding around. It's a "dirty" date. I didn't go on any nice, clean, glamourous dates with Kaya. It's very physical, you should definitely tune in and watch.

countrylovinangel: Alison, Do you think they will have a Temptation Island #2?

jimmy: Do you think this show will last?

Alison: Yeah, I heard the rumors as well. I think as much as some of the public protested...they're watching, they're enjoying it and they would watch it again.

dribble_bear: Do you have any regrets?

Alison: Not at all. I had a fabulous time, was very content down there. I knew who I was and was just being myself. I didn't have to separate reality from TV. That was me. It was gorgeous, lots of nice people, very attractive men, and I had a fabulous time. I would definitely go back.

itsMC: What are your future plans?

CUriOUsGeOrgE: what are your plans for the future?

Alison: I don't have any plans yet. Waiting to see what the future holds. It won't just come out and grab me, I have to take some initiative. Might involve moving to a different coast, but we'll see.
