David X. Cohen was most recently an Executive Producer of the critically-acclaimed FOX series The Simpsons. Having been with The Simpsons since 1993, he wrote
numerous episodes, including "Lisa the Vegetarian," which won a Genesis Award and an Environmental Media Award, "Much Apu About Nothing," "The Itchy & Scratchy & Poochie Show," "Lisa the Skeptic," "Das Bus," "Bart the Mother" and stories in the last five "Treehouse of Horror" Halloween trilogies. He received two Emmy Awards for his work on the series.

Before joining The Simpsons, Cohen was a writer for Beavis and Butt-Head, where he penned the episodes "Couch Fishing" and "Plate Frisbee." With a Masters degree in Computer Science from UC Berkeley and a Bachelors degree in Physics from Harvard University, Cohen has an educational background that has prepared him for his pseudo-technical work on Futurama. He also worked on the Harvard Lampoon from 1984-1988. Among his notable accomplishments at the Lampoon were his stint as President in 1987, his role as Sports Editor of the 1986 "USA Today Parody" and his work as Head Writer for the book MEDIA GATE in 1988.

Born in New York, David X. Cohen now resides in Los Angeles.
